Full Moon in Capricorn - July 14th
So what's happening energetically for us this full moon?
Full moons are always a time of powerful manifesting, achieving our goals and releasing energy that we no longer want or need to carry over to the next month. And just as the full moon marks a completion or an ending to something....it is also the start of something new as the cycle begins again.
- is all about bringing awareness to your work/life balance and urging you to look at how you can infuse more fun in your life while still maintaining all you have to do....so simple steps at the moment and maybe thinking outside the box in some areas?
- you may feel a bit more fired up in your box ticking and goal smashing zones right now! Get ready to ride the wave of motivation!
- it's also a time to speak up if your feelings have been hurt and you are still thinking on it....you may find the courage and energy to gently but assertively let anyone know that this happened and you would like to clear the air
- it might be easy for emotions to be misplaced right now so be extra careful and double check everything you say and do especially if it's motivated by emotion
- this moon energy will push us to evolve in some area of our life so watch out for anything beckoning you to take your next step either in a belief, attitude or changing the way you do something. Either way, it's a next level for you so embrace it
- there's a possibility of something you wanted to keep hidden coming to light right now...can you turn this on it's head and be happy or grateful that this is no longer a secret? We grow so much by allowing our whole self to be visible to others. No one is perfect and we all have skeletons or mistakes in our past that make us uncomfortable but this is what made us who we are today. Can you try to make peace with sharing your shadow self with others so everyone can be more at peace by not being perfect?

A great time to encourage kids to keep reaching for a goal they may have set themselves! Learning to walk? Ride a bike? Get a part time job or sit their licence test? Now is the time to gently steer and motivate your kids in the direction they have been wanting to get to lately.
Think about holding a little family meeting where everyone can chat about their current goals and also give them a chance to air anything that has hurt their feelings lately that they still might be holding onto. It could be another family member that has said or done something to hurt them and it can be resolved and spoken about in a calmer way thanks to some time that has passed. Or perhaps a friend or teacher has hurt their feelings and just taking a moment to talk about it and get it out will help them clear this feeling.
While our kids feel so emotionally charged at the moment, split decisions or impulsive actions (that are later regretted) may be avoided by keeping a closer eye on things! Switching into 'helicopter parenting' just for the next day or so might actually be a good thing! Try and get your child to talk through what they are about to do and offer feedback or advice. It's a GREAT time to get your kids to practice counting to 10 or taking a few slow deep breaths before their next words or actions.
If something negative comes to light that your child has done, take a moment to reassure them that it's not all negative! That our mistakes are what make us human and such a great way to learn what not to do next time. We all need to keep learning this and teaching our kids while they are young that it takes all sides of a person to make us human....and doesn't make us any less lovable is so important. That all sides of us are lovable: the good, the bad and even the ugly! Imagine being able to learn that from the get-go?
