So what's happening energetically for us this full moon?
- Will be deeply emotional. Be prepared for tears but welcome them as they are much needed and will help so much
- So much opportunity for a deep inner cleanse and releasing that emotional baggage
- Very important to be practicing self care right now. Nurture yourself in any way that you know brings you some peace and a feeling of being looked after
- Be very gentle with yourself and give yourself permission to have the space and the freedom to release whatever may come up
- A great time to nurture your inner child to help you with your present emotions so do something that connects with who you used to be whether that be an activity you used to love or write your inner child a caring letter. Release whatever emotions come up
- As we are also in Mercury retrograde, things might feel confusing or you might notice plans and communications get mixed up, so again, be prepared for this and go gently on yourself and others
- It is time more than ever to be still and not create too many things to do. Reflect, allow time and space to feel and heal. Remember, there is no healing without feeling!
Support for Kids
So the kids are going to be extra emotional too right now and as hard as it may feel to have everyone's emotions on the surface, just keep remembering that this is a necessary and important cleanse.
Reassure them that it's ok to feel their feelings and even demonstrate this by sharing your thoughts and feelings with them. It's ok for them to see you cry and release just like they do and it can help normalise showing our feelings!
If you are seeing too many meltdowns due to the overwhelming emotions that might be being felt without knowing how to express them to shift them up and out, encourage your kids to safely let it out by writing their feelings down in a journal or draw their feelings. If there is an anger energy, get them to bash their pillow up or scream into them (or underwater if you have a pool!) as all this is a healthy way of moving that energy (emotion = energy in motion!) through the body when words and tears aren't enough
As always, be at the ready with understanding them, big hugs and lots of love and remind your child that emotions is just energy passing through the body like clouds across the sky and we just need to feel and acknowledge them all before they are able to move on.
