December 24, 2013
This year -
I nearly lost my son.
I moved house (again).
I became a blogger.
I fought Post Natal Depression and won.
My business evolved into a new website, new logo, new products to sell.
I started aqua aerobics and swimming laps.
I learnt to exist on 5-6 hours sleep a night.
I had my first kid-free weekend away!
I made some lovely new friends and met some amazing people.
I have eaten, cooked and written about some delicious food.
I learnt to ask for help.
As hard as some of it was, I have loved all of it and I have loved sharing it with you.
I have found joy in such unexpected places.
Opening a perfect avocado.
Having a good tv series downloaded and ready for my husband and I to watch and get addicted to (how did I wait until 2013 to discover and watch West Wing?).
Listening to my son breathe peacefully while he sleeps.
Pressing publish on a blog that I am proud of.
Seeing old friends, hearing their voices while watching their faces, reaching out to touch their arm as here they are in the flesh and not just on the phone.
The smell and look of a freshly brewed kombucha drink.
Marveling at my daughter's interpretive dance moves.
Having untested recipes work out first try.
The cool silky feel of the water at my gym pool that envelops me and allows me to let go, float, think, move.
The faces of the ladies that give me a break - the gym creche ladies, the daycare teachers, my neighbours and my mum.
Getting a quick massage in shopping centres!
New colours on my toe nails.
Seeing the love in my family grow as my children fall in love with themselves and each other and remind mum and dad to do the same.
I wish you all so much love, joy, gratitude and happiness over the Christmas break and I look forward to sharing more with you next year, hearing how you are, and getting on track with our health as always.
Yours in health,
Alisha and Family xxxx
